Your First Appointment

⏱ 60 Minutes

Your first appointment is a full 60 minutes, and it covers a lot. Dr. Arthur uses this time to understand your history, assess how your body is moving, and start treating the root of the issue the same day.

Please complete your intake form ahead of time through our patient portal, Jane App, linked in the email sent to you — it speeds things up and lets Dr. Sandy come prepared.

✓ If applicable, bring any imaging reports (X-rays, MRIs), or email them to us at drsandy@wellcochiropractic.com

✓ Wear comfortable athletic clothing — shorts, leggings, workout gear etc. We need full range of motion and access to the areas we're treating. Bathrooms are available if you need to change.

✓ Expect movement. The evaluation involves active assessment, and treatment begins the same session.

✓ Dr. Sandy works hands-on into the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia, targeting scar tissue and adhesions using Active Release Technique (ART) and chiropractic adjustments.

✓ You will feel it, in a productive way. Think of it like the intensity of a hard training session. Soreness after is normal and expected.

After Your First Session

Hydrate: Drink plenty of water. Your tissues have just been worked, keep them hydrated.

Keep moving: Resume whatever light activity you can.

“Expect soreness. Expect improvement.”

Post-treatment soreness is not a warning sign, it's a signal that your body is responding. It should feel like the day after a tough workout: productive, not debilitating. Excessive soreness (like difficulty walking) is not typical. If that happens, reach out to the office, we're here. Otherwise, hydrate, move, and trust the process.
