Best Coffee Shops in Sarasota, Florida (2025 Guide)

In between patients, I’m usually sipping on some sort of coffee or tea, as warm beverages are my love language. I’m a self proclaimed beverage girlie as you can normally find a coffee, an Owala with water, a soda water and possibly a kombucha on my desk at any given time.

I have a problem…

When I’m not in the office helping patients at Well Co Chiropractic, you can usually find me hunting down the best cup of coffee in Sarasota. Coffee shops are where I recharge, get creative, and sometimes even write blogs like this one.

If you’re looking for the top Sarasota coffee shops, these are my personal go-to spots, each one has its own vibe, and I’ll share what makes them stand out.

PALMA COFFEE

Located in South Sarasota off 41, Palma Coffee is one of my favorite places to visit for a perfect Cortado or latte. Manuel and Amanda are wonderful people with vibrant personalities and great taste in decor.

From their website: "We are an independent coffee company that sources at origin, working directly with coffee producers and exporters to ensure mutual benefits and long lasting relationships. "

I get a bag of their fresh roasted beans for my home brewing adventures as I try to learn to make perfect hearts on my lattes!

I also stop by after yoga at Get Bent, right down the way and it's the perfect way to start my Sundays!

BREAKING WAVE

Nestled in Downtown Sarasota, by the bay, is Breaking Wave - a sweet minimal coffee shop with beautiful light and calming atmosphere.

This is the place I go to for peaceful chats or to work on my computer. This is my place for the perfect Flat White.

They also do mobile coffee bars, and I've had the pleasure of setting up shop with them in marketing events!

BUTTERMILK

Looking for good coffee and a good egg and biscuit? Buttermilk is tucked away off of Palmer Blvd. Blink and you'll miss it!

Be sure to stop by their cute neighborhood shop for a coffee or a tea! But be early, they get busy quick! Outside tables are available.

OSCURA

Looking for a truly unique coffee spot? Venture up to Bradenton, the Friendly City, for a coffee and a bite to eat at Oscura! I discovered this coffee place through The Friendly Flea, where many artist vendors had items to sell as well! Very cute and lots of plants in this shop!

This shop also doubles as a live music venue! Definitely worth checking out!

O&A Coffee

In downtown Sarasota and in Waterside, there is O&A coffee! They have a great assortment of options of coffees, kombucha, and various pastries.

This is my go to if I am meeting a bunch of friends as there is various seating!

O&A started as a coffee cart at the Sarasota Farmers Market and grew to get its own shop front as well as an additional location in Waterside.
