Meet Dr. Sandy Arthur

Dr. Sandy Arthur is a board certified chiropractor, certified Active Release Provider, and is certified in acupuncture.

Her goal in treatments is to get patients out of her office and back into their hobbies and passions, pain-free. As a 3rd generation Sarasota local, she is passionate about helping her community thrive, be it beach side or court side.

Chiropractic Adjustments

At Well Co Chiropractic in Sarasota, Dr. Sandy Arthur provides gentle, personalized chiropractic care to restore function and relieve pain. Adjustments can be performed by hand (manual adjustments), with an Activator tool, or using our specialized drop table for light hip and low-back corrections.
If you’re new to chiropractic care or have concerns about adjustments, Dr. Sandy takes the time to explain every option and always tailors treatments to your comfort level.
Flexion distraction

We also offer Flexion Distraction therapy, with our Leander Table, a technique that supports disc health and helps patients with sciatica or chronic low back pain.

Active Release

Active Release is a hands-on, movement-based treatment that targets overused muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. Conditions like headaches, back pain, sciatica, shoulder pain, and plantar fasciitis often stem from soft tissue restrictions—ART® helps release them to restore motion and reduce pain.
At Well Co Chiropractic in Sarasota, Dr. Sandy uses her hands to break up adhesions and restore normal tissue function, helping patients move better and recover faster.
IASTM aka Guasha

Graston or IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) is a therapeutic method for diagnosing and treating disorders of the skeletal muscles and related connective tissue.
We use stainless steel tools that have a “blade” or an edge, to palpate patients’ bodies in order to detect and resolve adhesions in the muscles and tendons.
Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of treatment where Dr. Sandy uses cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction vacuum. Sometimes she will use the cups to “glide” along the skin to increase blood flow in that area.
This is to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
